Navigate Parol Small

$70.00

Star lanterns in the Philippines are known as parols and are used as decoration as early as September when the “Ber” months kick off, but usually for the coming holiday season.

Our Parol frames take inspiration from the Balangay boats that were used to navigate the seas during precolonial times. We also reimagined the faces of the parol and landed on the solihiya rattan pattern that was popularized in furniture such as the peacock chair.

We proudly design and make in SOMA Pilipinas, San Francisco, California. Parts are domestic (frame and skin) and imported (light)
